Our NOVASOL Rome villas welcome you and your family to Italy’s most famous city. Known for its gastronomy, history, and culture, Rome has welcomed tourists and visitors since the city’s creation in the 8th century BC. The city has a temperate year round climate and many sunny days, making it an ideal spot for a sunny getaway filled with adventure. Our villas in Italy are closely located to the country's attractions, especially in Rome. While exploring all of the attractions of Rome can take a lifetime, we’d like to recommend you the most important sites to visit during your stay in our Rome villas. 

Our Rome villas are in close proximity to the city’s various attractions. The city has expansive public transportation, easily accessible taxis, or even Vespas for rental. While the Vespa is the most quintessentially Italian way to discover the city, we strongly recommend that only those with experience in riding them in city traffic rent them, as Rome is well known for its high-paced and fast moving traffic. 

The first place to stop by is definitely the Colosseum. This iconic ancient Roman gladiatorial arena has been featured in many movies and television shows; its expansive an impressive architecture, as well as the insights it provides into Ancient Roman society and culture make the Colosseum a site not to be missed! 

We also recommend visiting St. Peter’s Basilica, also easily accessible from our Rome villas. This is the world’s largest basilica of Christianity, built in the Renaissance style and located in the Vatican City. Designed in part by the world-renowned artist Michelangelo, St. Peter’s is considered to be one of the holiest Catholic shrines, with a wonderful collection of art, frescos, and history. 

St. Peter’s is located in the Vatican City, another location that we highly recommend visiting. Perhaps the most famous “micro-country”, this city state is home to the Pope, as well as the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums. While staying in our Rome villas, we highly recommend visiting the Vatican!

We also strongly recommend visiting the Pantheon, also closely located by taxi and public transport to our Rome villas. The Pantheon is one of the most preserved ancient Roman buildings, and is one of the city’s most famous attractions. Constructed in the year 118 AD by the emperor Hadrian, the Pantheon is located in the center of the city on the Piazza della Rotonda – this is a must visit site!

After enjoying the many cultural and historic sites easily accessible from our NOVASOL Rome villas, we highly recommend visiting “Rome’s favorite neighborhood” also known as Trastevere. This charming Medieval neighborhood is full of amazing restaurants and after-hours bars, and especially during the warmer months, local musicians provide performances on the streets.
