One should not miss visiting Risnjak. The national park spreads over 15 thousand acers across the mountains Risnjak and Snjeznik along the upper flow of river Kupa (Slovenian: Kolpa). It has been declared a national park in 1953. Flora and fauna of the park are amazing with not only the elusive lynx but also wolf, bear and other wildlife.
