Dagebüll is very close by (approx. 12 km) and the perfect place for excursions in the surrounding area: the ferries to the North Sea islands of Amrum and Föhr can be reached in a few minutes by car. The many dykes all around offer a perfect area for cyclists - you will conveniently find a bike hire shop directly in the village. From the nearby harbour in Schlüttsiel (approx. 8 km) you can also reach the small Halligen islands of Hooge and Langeneß quickly and easily by boat. Emmelsbüll is also ideally located for a day trip to Sylt, because from neighbouring Klanxbüll (approx. 6 km) you can travel directly to Westerland by train in just half an hour.
