Here you can visit the St. George Stranding Museum and learn more about the dramatic strandings on the west coast of Jutland. The biggest disaster occurred on Christmas morning 1811 in the sea off Thorsminde, when the English liners HMS St. George and HMS Defence stranded, killing nearly 1,400 sailors. You can also fish and shop here. Also head south and experience the large Klitplantage in Husby, an area with many paths, beautiful planting and a lake. There is also a fenced dog forest here.
