WESTERWALD - A vacation home dating from 1789 located in the hamlet of Bettorf, 18 km north of Wissen, on the border of the natural areas of Westerwald and Sauerland. It is located on a beautiful, quiet property at the end of a dead-end street. This accommodation is ideal for nature lovers and families with small children. The half-timbered house is centrally heated from the hallway with an antique stove, and there is also a wood stove in the living room. Behind the house the friendly owner has planted the smallest official vineyard in Rhineland-Palatinate. Beautiful garden on a slope.
On the Bigge reservoir (15km) you can practice various water sports, such as diving, sailing or windsurfing. Cologne and Koblenz are only an hour's drive away and are nice destinations for a day trip. The Westerwald is a particularly natural area and the surroundings invite you to wonderful walks and hikes. The Way of St. James, the pilgrimage route that goes all the way to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, passes by the house at a distance of only 2 km. About 35 km from your accommodation is Altenkirchen, where there are a variety of themed hiking trails, including a trail especially for children.
