You can't get any closer to the sea and the forest than in this holiday home! This charming holiday home has a unique location; the only things that might disturb you here are the animals or a walker on the beach. You will very rarely find a pearl like this. You can enjoy the unique view of the sea from the terrace or directly from the living room and listen to the sound of the sea. Maybe even a seal or a harbour porpoise will pass by on its hunt for prey. Please note that the last 100 metres to the house are an uneven path that is not cleared in winter.
Holidays mean lots of time for leisurely activities with the family. Here you can do all the things you don't have time for in everyday life. This is the perfect starting point for an active holiday. Go swimming or bowling. Experience nature on horseback, cast a line for fresh fish or simply relax on the beach. There are so many possibilities here. You can also visit one of the beautiful historic towns, where you can feel the wing beat of history, go shopping or visit a cosy restaurant or café. Sønderborg, just 12 kilometres from here, offers a rich selection of shopping, culture and restaurants. You can also discover the cosy town of Flensburg on the German side of the border, 30 km from here.
The holiday home is located directly on the Gendarmsti hiking trail. It is one of Denmark's most beautiful hiking trails. The 74 kilometre long coastal hiking trail is divided into four daily stages: The Mountain Stage, Brick Stage, Kragesand Stage and Beach Stage. Each stage winds along the coast of the Flensburg Fjord, offering a varied and occasionally hilly landscape. On the hiking trail, you have the opportunity to experience rare plants and animals and discover many exciting biotopes and landscapes, from orchids, frogs and birds to tunnel valleys, chalk cliffs and stone reefs. At the same time, you can immerse yourself in the history and the many myths and legends associated with the Gendarme Trail and the border region.
