Also the Tivedens National Park is nearby. For an excursion, go to the Göta Canal, Karlsborgs Fortress or maybe take the ferry to Visingsö. For shopping, drive to Jönköping to the A6 shopping center. An hour's drive will take you to Skara Sommarland.
