The drive to Copenhagen takes just over an hour, and the city offers many attractions and sights. If you love golf, there is a golf course in Slagelse as well as in Korsør. The small peninsula of Reersø is also worth a visit. The natural landscape of the whole island is protected because of the rare animal and plant life, once around the island to hike or bike. The island is also known for its population of tailless cats. Birkegårdens Haver is also worth a visit, a 10,000 m² adventure park with animals and playground, Kragerup Gods with many activities, you can experience whizzing in the treetops, play soccer or canoe in the castle moats.
Alternatively, you can make a trip across the Great Belt Bridge to visit some of the beautiful castles on Funen, for example Egeskov, or go to Legoland in Billund.
