The Riviera is situated between the slopes of the Biokovo mountain, which is a protected nature reserve, and the sea, which is clear and clean here as hardly anywhere else in the Mediterranean. Besides a rich cultural-historical and historical heritage, the Malacological Museum in the Franciscan monastery has a special charm, it is a unique collection of molluscs from the Adriatic and the oceans of the world.
