This comfortable holiday apartment is located on the ground floor of a private villa on a small hill in the Chiana Valley. You enter the apartment via the private terrace and find yourself directly in the central living area, very cosy with its antique walls, arches and ceiling beams; the kitchen area, three bedrooms (one with access to the terrace) and two bathrooms are adjacent. The furnishings are in Tuscan rustic style, with an open fireplace. In front of the apartment is a long brick terrace with a seating area and barbecue. The apartment also has a well-kept garden area with a seating area, sunbathing lawn and children's games, from where you can enjoy a sweeping view over the Chiana Valley. The friendly owner lives on the upper floor. The location is extremely favourable for exploring central Tuscany - you can reach Arezzo (15 km) in no time: stroll through the central Corso, which takes you up into the old town to the cathedral. There are at least three churches worth seeing in Arezzo: the cathedral itself, which dominates the entire town; the medieval Pieve and the church of San Francesco. The aperitif tastes best in the piazza in front of it; under the Vasari loggias in Piazza Grande, on the other hand, you can combine culinary and visual delights in the best possible way. On the first weekend of every month, the entire old town centre comes alive with the large national antiques market, and in June and September, the traditional Saracino equestrian games take place in Piazza Grande. Other worthwhile excursion destinations: The picturesque Etruscan town of Cortona (25 km), Monte San Savino (6 km) and Lucignano (10 km); Lake Trasimeno (35 km) or the medieval wine town of Montepulciano (40 km) and of course Siena (60 km) with the most beautiful square in the world, the "Campo"! The centre of the small village of Alberoro with all kinds of shops, bars and restaurants can be easily reached on foot from here (500 m).
