Neuwernsdorf - a quiet, idyllic little village in the Ore Mountains is located directly on the Czech border, next to the Rauschenbach dam and is worth a visit at any time of year. At an altitude of 500 m to over 800 m above sea level, the region offers the best conditions for a wide range of sporting activities as well as a relaxing holiday away from the noise and stress. In summer, extensively signposted paths invite you to go on extended cycling and hiking tours, the eco-pool in Rechenberg or the leisure and adventure pool in Neuhausen offer bathing fun and anglers will also find suitable opportunities here. In winter, the region is a popular winter sports area with 120 km of cross-country ski trails, several ski lifts, ski schools and ski hire stations, toboggan runs (in Holzhau with a special lift) and a fun park for snowboarders. Shopping facilities (including our own farm shop in Clausnitz - fresh vegetables, meat and sausages from our own slaughterhouse and regional products) and restaurants can be found in the neighbouring towns of Neuhausen and Rechenberg-Bienenmühle. It is also worth visiting the nutcracker, glassworks or technical museum Alte Stuhlfabrik (Neuhausen) or the brewery museum and raftsman's house in Rechenberg.
