Crystal clear water laps the high cliffs at Tisvilde, from where you can see into Sweden. Here you will also find large areas of forest or heath, especially in the Heatherhill nature reserve. Gnarled pine trees grow in Troldeskov along the coast from Tisvildeleje to Asserbo. The area is also home to Arresø, the largest lake in Denmark, where there is a rich bird life. On the lake you can make a round trip with the ship Frederike.
