The old town offers monuments from antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance: the Roman Forum (1st century), the Church of St. Donat (9th century), the Church of St. Marija (11th century, rebuilt in the 16th century), the Cathedral of St. Anastasia (12th to 13th century), parts of the defensive walls ... Nowadays, Zadar is known for the Sea Organ and the light installation "Pozdrav suncu" (Greeting to the Sun). The region offers beautiful beaches, good restaurants with Mediterranean cuisine, but also breathtaking national and nature parks (Krka Waterfalls, Kornati, Plitvice Lakes, Tela??ica, Paklenica?).
